Nov 19, 2023Wilwood Expands EPB Caliper Applications
CAMARILLO, Calif. — Wilwood Engineering has added new EPB (electric parking brake) stand-alone electric parking brake caliper sizes, now available for rotors up to 15.00 inches in diameter in .15-inch-1.25-inch widths.
The larger units are sized for use on the rear of typical cars and trucks. The newly released smaller units for thinner rotors are ideal for powersports, agricultural, and utility machines with non-vented rotors as thin as .15 inches.
The Wilwood EPB electric caliper is constructed of forged aluminum for strength and lighter weight, with a steel bracket and geared motor assembly to provide 2,400 pounds of clamping force.
Right and lefthanded motor options are available for ease of installation. These calipers are included with many of the latest Wilwood rear brake kits and are available separately for custom applications.
A compact microprocessor-based controller delivers the clamping force and draws no power once applied. A dashboard on-off indicator switch and universal wiring harness are also available.
Caliper bodies are available in gloss red or black powder coat, polished aluminum, or Type-III hard anodized coating.
The Wilwood EPB caliper has a starting MSRP at $374.19.
